開學必聊的話題之一，就是─選課啦！"choose/select course"，要選哪一些課，得視系上的必修課"compulsory/required subject"有什麼，搞清楚必修課之後，就可以看看有沒有自己想選的選修課"elective subject"了，還要仔細的算一下一學期的學分數course credits / units，最低至少要修幾學分？學分上限為何？畢業前總共要修多少學分？這些都是選課前必須好好考慮的。

✔ 如果想要申請雙主修"double major"或是輔修"minor"的話，期中考"midterm test/exam"和期末考"final"可要認真準備了，雖然依據各校系規定都不一樣，但基本上考試的成績將會決定你的申請能不能通過喔！

例如：
Most of your classmates have a double major. Why are you still hesitating ?
你的同學大部分都有雙主修，你還在猶豫嗎？

✔ 課堂上老師會點名"take attendance/ roll call"，如果你翹課"skip class"的話，也是會影響平時成績的，小心被當掉”flunk”喔！現在大學也都有規定畢業門檻"graduation threshold"像絕大多數的校系都有設定英文畢業門檻，不要等到大四快畢業的時候才發現，可能就來不及準備啦！

例如：
Professor Liang takes attendance every class. If you skip any class,she will flunk you.
梁老師每一堂課都點名，如果你翹掉任何一堂課，你就會被當。

✔ 額外補充 ─ Easy A's

另外，補充一個實用單字，就是大家最愛的營養學分！因為很容易拿到高分，所以叫做"easy A's"，是不是很好記呢？
例如：
My roommate told me the professor of this required subject is a tough grader,so we’d better choose some more easy A's.
我室友跟我說那個必修課的教授給分很嚴，我們最好多選一些營養學分。
